Blog 24: Week of 04/24/22
So last week I had planned on watching the Walking Dead after the blog, well it wasn’t there. That means I missed the season finale the week before. Now I have no clue when I can watch that episode because I missed it. Also, hi, nice to be writing the blog today. I am really tired, but we’ll get into all that as we go. As I’m sitting here I am realizing I did a whole lot of stuff this week. I’m tired.
Monday was the day we got out of quarantine officially so that was nice. I worked from home just to be safe though (and I didn’t really feel like going into the office). That night we had plans of going to a Mets game, but weather delayed it. This meant Monday night became our little Easter party. Corina baked cupcakes and we decorated them AND we decorated eggs. I am very bad at decorating BOTH eggs and cupcakes. It was a lovely get together, but I thought the party would have food, so I was hungry afterwards. We went and got sandwiches from the plaza across the street. Tuesday we got to go to the Mets double feature. I had an absolute blast watching the game. I got a hotdog and a Beer and bundled up for the freezing cold game. Americas past time is much more fun in person than on tv. We were at the stadium for probably 5 hours, and I regret none of it. Wednesday we had a lady come and talk to our class. She is a past Baylor in New York person who is now working in LA. She is working hand in hand with Robert Downie Jr. She actually is good friends with him and his wife and for a while was working out of their house. A neat contact. Thursday night we had to present our papers to the class as a presentation. It was long and boring. Glad its over. Friday Andy, Corina, Braden, and I went to the Diner for dinner followed by games at our apartment. After the games we watched an episode of Midnight Mass. Around midnight I had plans to play games with Garrett. We ended up staying up until 3:00 playing games. I then could not sleep until 5 in the morning. This was miserable. On Saturday I went out to Hoboken again to see the Rumph’s. It was a grand ole time, I also walked a ton. It was a mile walk from the Subway to their house, then a couple walks here and there, another mile walk to a lacrosse game for Addison, then a mile walk back, then a half mile walk to get food, then a mile walk back to the subway. So a minimum of 4.5 miles, but probably more. Also, the lacrosse game was quite fun. I had a blast. Then finally today Corina and I headed out to Central park because the weather was nice. I got a picture in the same spot I had gotten a picture during the snow day. We then went to Roosevelt Island and got some Japanese food that was really good and not too expensive. We also rode the gondola so that was dope. Then came back home. It ended up being a five hour expedition filled with lots of walking as well. A walkful weekend. Now Andy and I are going to do a screening for class before I go to bed. I have my finaly week of work this next week and I am ecstatic about finishing work. I want some free time to myself to finally rest and do other fun things in New York.
Alright, Bye bye from NY and see ya soon
