Blog 23: Week of 04/17/22
Hey! It’s Easter Sunday, but here in New York we are experiencing quarant(Easter). I came up with that earlier and I think it’s pretty clever, mainly because we have Covid. And by “we” I mean Andy has Covid, but you didn’t here that from me cause, you know, HIPA. Well, it’s Sunday and I have two episodes of the Walking Dead to watch soon so I will right pretty quickly.
If you were wondering, I did get a new flight for my trip back, but they could only fly me out Monday morning at 7:00am, so I had to wake up at like 3:30am. Shout out to my mother for being a trooper and going with me early in the morning on a work day. I got to my apartment around 2:00 pm and was exhausted. I fell right to sleep and slept basically until class. In class on Monday Ben, our professor, told us that our paper’s deadline was pushed back to Saturday. This was great news as I had about 3 pages of the 15 pages done. Tuesday I worked slowly on my paper and did laundry. I got another couple pages done throughout the day, which was my plan. I didn’t want to stress too many pages into one day and end up with a hurried paper. Also, I had 0 desire to write a 15 page paper. Wednesday was a WFH day so I didn’t have a lot to do, but around 2 Andy came home not feeling well. We tested and he was positive. So that made it where we had to quarantine for the next 5 days. The good news was this gave us optimum time to work on our papers. I still had work on Friday, but really the only thing I did was write my paper and cook diners. I never felt bad at all. Sadly though, multiple people were in town this weekend and I had to tell them all that I could not hang out with them. That was sad.
Saturday was the day. The day I finished MY FINAL PAPER FOR COLLEGE!!!! That feels so good to say (type). I hate writing papers for school and am so excited to never do one ever again. I still have a couple things to do for school, but nothing as challenging as a 15 page paper. I’m not going to lie, not the best thing I’ve ever written. DEFINETELY not the worst. I have written some garbage papers in college. I wonder what the best paper I’ve ever written? I’ll never know.
Today is Sunday and I slept it after staying up late with Andy as he finished his paper. We watched Everything Everywhere All at Once which was very good. I want to watch it again sometime so I can try to take everything in. But yeah, that’s about it because of Covid and a big assignment, really limited what I could do in a week, but still accomplished a lot.
Alright, now I’m going to watch TV, so bye bye!
