Blog 31: Week of 04/06/24
I am writing this blog for the purpose of those who will be viewing my blog for the first time after my announcement of the PHIFF, the Peyton Hodges International Film Festival. If you don’t know what that is then what the hecks are you doing here, go to the top tab “PHIFF” and learn more! If you are here for PHIFF and you are reading my blogs, enjoy! I started these when I moved to New York as a fun way for my family to keep up with me. I learned though that writing weekly blogs that 0 people read was tiring and took too much time. My everlasting hope is that someday great minds will study these and find out what Peyton Hodges thought about and what he did and what he ate in New York.
I’m currently at PicklePop which is a new job of mine where I play, coach, and watch pickleball all day. Last night we had Dallas’ birthday party which was a huge success. We went to Maxam Park and had Corn Hole, Pickleball, Beer Die, and other yard games. I also grilled burgers and hot dogs. We had a great turn out, but around 9pm I got texted by my boss and asked if I could come in at 8am. It’s an hour drive and I had to take care of Bowie so it was an early morning and I had to retire early from the birthday celebrations. So I’ve been here since 8am and then they told me I was also closing tonight. so a 12 hour shift and a complete loss of my Saturday. but whatever. Hopefully I get brownie points with my employers and can get a full time job here by summer time.
Well, I’m not going to write too much, but this has been fun. Maybe I’ll do a full update blog soon about my time in LA. That could be fun, and who knows, maybe I’ll start writing the blogs again. We’ll see, but see ya!
