Blog 13: Week of 02/07/22

I’m late, I know. I do refuse to take responsibility for this though. I’m currently writing this at 9:16 in the morning at my internship. I probably will not finish while I am here, so this will be uploaded pretty late at night. Like really late. Might end up being the most hours between start and finish actually. Why am I writing it Monday? It’s a long story that starts a week ago. Last weekend my Aunt and Uncle invited me to go to their house in Hoboken. I had told them that I would love to, but that weekend was not going to work because I already had plans for Saturday and Sunday. I planned with them to come yesterday (Sunday) this day was perfect because I was very busy on Saturday and this Sunday was the Pro Bowl which no one cares about. So the date was set and I was pretty excited. A couple days later we tried to lock down a time, which is where they told me they expected I stay the night at their place. Honestly, this stressed me out more than it should have. This would mean that I would go to their house Sunday around noon and not get back to my apartment until about 11:00 Monday night. Monday’s are already long, like the longest days, so I tried to figure out how I was going to tell them no. I also had a lot of homework to do on the weekend that I probably could not complete on Saturday. I had already told them that I would be there though so I decided to suck it up and go to their house and spend the night. Sunday came around and I packed my work and school supplies into my bag as well as my work clothes for the following day. I then went on the 40 minute train ride to see them. Eric (my uncle) met me at the New Port station and we walked to their house from there. It was probably a 30 minute walk, but I don’t know for sure. We spent the day hanging out and got dinner, Addison wasn’t able to be at the dinner because she had a basketball game she had to go to. That night we watched Palm Springs.

Okay so now it’s Tuesday night, I was correct, I wouldn’t have much time to write yesterday. It ended up being a pretty long day. I guess I’ll talk about it next week. I’m not much in a writing mood so I think I’m going to just lump a lot of last week all together. For my internship I had three main research projects that I needed to do. The first, a project called Celebrating with Zola, basically I was tasked with finding all types of celebrations from around the world that could be fun for this cook to travel to and meet people. The second, was trying to find a good host for a tv show called Celebs vs Monsters. And finally was searching for good ideas for a show called We are the Mighty. It was a fine week I suppose, kinda just a lot of reading and research.

On Saturday I got to go to the Met which was pretty cool, I definitely can go again and see a whole lot of stuff that I missed this time. I spent multiple hours on the second flour alone and didn’t finish it before I left, so I’ll go back some day. Maybe with Carson, I think he would like it. We had game night on Thursday and all the people came. a 13 person game night which got pretty darn rowdy. Good time though, nice to have some of the people that don’t come on Fridays.

Alright, sorry if this is shorter than you want but I just don’t have it in me to write right now. See ya!
